"I really love the LM-7. The first time I put it in the horn everything was easier: slurs articulations, dynamic contrast, with less effort. A very efficient mouthpiece!

As far as the LM-10 goes... I received the mouthpiece yesterday as I was running off to work. I tried it in the warm up room and liked it so much I used it for the concert! I usually use a Mirafone or Schilke C4 on my Yamaha 822f but I have been searching for a mouthpiece that would give me more highs without cutting out the low overtones. That's what I'm getting out of this mouthpiece. I played it for some of my colleagues and they all prefer the sound of the LM-10 to my C4's. "I'm one of those guys who doesn't change equipment much. I know what works and it's served me well in the studio for a long time. I've been playing the same Jetone Studio C for the last 30 years and a Bach 6B since the mid 80s. Joe and Steve approached me about making a mouthpiece that would suit my commercial needs, something similar to my Jetone with a Loud Mouthpieces quality to it.

All I can say is that they've come up with a real winner. The Haynes model (LM85) has a unique focus to the sound and an ease in the upper register. I'm also a big fan of the LM5B and the LM10.5C.

The 5B is great for orchestral recording and the 10.5C has a great all around feel. I'm also playing the flugel mouthpiece and am totally delighted. I never thought after all these years I'd switch, but LOUD has made me a believer. The mouthpieces speak for themselves."

When I first heard about the Loud Mouthpiece trumpet models, I wasn't interested. I had been playing on a Reeves custom that I was convinced I would be on for the rest of my career. I wasn't even looking for any more mouthpieces. Then a friend of mine let me play on a few of the LOUD Mouthpieces. I saw that the 3Z looked similar to my Bob Reeves so I put it on my horn.

After playing on the 3Z I realized that it offered me more control than my custom Reeves! I also had a fuller sound in every register of the horn. Now the 3Z is all I play on. I never switch to anything else. I love it for section work and even have no problem using it for lead stuff.

I am currently playing on the LM-85M and the LM-F. I love the LM-85M because it gives me more harmonics in my sound than any other lead mouthpiece design. It's not "nasally" or "ratty" sounding and is reminiscent of the 70's and 80's studio trumpet sound.

I'm also looking into their smaller line of mouthpieces because they don't feel small, and they don't sacrifice sound like other small mouthpieces. The LM-F on the other hand is a masterpiece. This flugel mouthpiece is fluffy, warm, and feels great. Every trumpeter should have this mouthpiece in their arsenal.

I am currently playing on the LM3Z. This mouthpiece is what I've been waiting for someone to make for years. I've always been most comfortable playing on the larger Bach mouthpieces simply because of the shape and build of my face. Sometimes that is a challenge because as a lead trumpet player you need something that has more cut which usually is an easier find in a smaller mouthpiece.

The LM3Z is the best of both worlds. It gives me the larger cup that my face needs but has a back bore that is built in such a way that allows me to really get a powerful sound in the upper register.

"The LM35 I have been playing now for almost 2 weeks. It is by FAR the best mouthpiece I have ever played.

My sound is darker, more centered and yet projects more. The articulation is better and my endurance has increased dramatically!

The past two days I have been playing with Dr. Earle Louder (former principal euphonium US Navy Band) for over 10 hours. When we tested this mouthpiece against my Bach Megatone 1 1/2GM, my custom Schilke 58E5E, my Wick SM3 and SM4, and other mouthpieces not even worth mentioning, EVERY SINGLE TIME and in every test, Dr. Louder (who just was listening and did not know what mpc I was playing) said every time and in every individual test, that the LM35 sounded the best.

"I am reporting to you how MUCH I am enjoying my Loud Mouthpiece LM-60!

Initially, I was disappointed that it wasn't shallower to help me with those notes above F, but as I began playing it in rehearsal and in concerts with our River Cities Concert Band, I have appreciated more and more the beauty of the sound - and of course, the VOLUME when needed. I seem to feel I'm "growing into" the mouthpiece, and though I'd still like to find a large bore Bach 11C, I feel this Loud mouthpiece will eventually be all I need.

In another group, the Bourbon City Brass, I am expected to play an old 1910 euph, which has always sounded pretty bad, muddy actually - that is until I inserted my Loud mouthpiece. I don't understand it, but this old horn now has a much, much better tone, more centered and consistent throughout the range.
